This weekend people across New South Wales, Australia and the world will be rallying for climate action at a People’s Climate March. In the days before the United Nations climate conference begins, we can show our leaders at all levels of government that we need action to limit global warming and address climate change, for the health of our communities and to protect our natural environment.
Personal statements are one of the best ways to get an important message across. I know that many of the march attendees are going to take signs and placards with a creative slogan, and I want to see and amplify as many of those personal messages as possible. So I’m starting a competition.
I’ll give away 20 of our brand new Climate Action Now t-shirts – which you can see modeled here by my fellow Greens MP Jeremy Buckingham and I – to people who share a photo of the call for climate action they’re taking to a People’s Climate March. At the end of next week I’ll pick my favourites from the slogans and creative signs people have shared, and we’ll contact the winners to arrange delivery of the shirts. T-shirts come in three colours (black, white and green) and a good range of sizes.
Entries will be open through to Wednesday, 2nd December 2015!
After entries have closed we’ll make contact with t-shirt winners via Facebook or email to arrange delivery. Don’t miss out!
