There’s growing momentum for action on climate change among communities and businesses, but we need to bring everyone on board and make sure governments provide the framework for action.
You can help by showing your commitment, having conversations in your community and lobbying your elected representatives to make sure climate change is front and centre of everyone’s decision-making.
We’ve prepared materials to help you be part of creating change. Below you’ll find campaign materials you can download or order (free of charge) from the office of Jan Barham. Whether you’re an individual looking to show your support or a community group campaigning on climate action, make use of our materials and information and get in touch if there’s anything we can help with!
Spread the word wherever you go with a Climate Change Act Now or Climate Emergency bumper sticker! Put them on your car, your computer, folders and any other space you have to display the message that we need action on climate change.
Our leaflets are a great way to start the conversation with people in your community about the need for climate action. The Climate Change Act Now leaflet features all eight of the Greens MPs in NSW Parliament delivering a message about the challenges climate change presents, highlighting the need for action across the whole of government and all of society. Our second leaflet provides more detail on the Greens’ Climate Change Bill, with key information about what the legislation would do to lock in NSW climate action after more than 25 years of lost time.
Our Commitment to Climate Action, which is based on the guiding principles in the Greens’ NSW Climate Change Bill, is a great starting point to register people’s support for climate action. You can download a PDF of the pledge sheet, which registers ten signatures per page.
If you’re part of an active group that will be collecting a lot of signatures, we’re producing pads with tear-off sheets available – contact us directly to discuss your needs.
If you send a copy of your pledges in to our office (address printed on the bottom), we’ll be able to update our tally of the number of people who’ve made a personal commitment to support climate action.
