NSW Greens MP Jan Barham has welcomed the South Australian Government’s target of net zero emissions by 2050 and has called on all parties in NSW to support ambition and accountability to address climate change.
This weekend people across New South Wales, Australia and the world will be rallying for climate action at a People’s Climate March. In the days before the United Nations climate conference begins, we can show our leaders at all levels of government that we need action to limit global warming and address climate change, for the health of our communities and to protect our natural environment.
Personal statements are one of the best ways to get an important message across. I know that many of the march attendees are going to take signs and placards with a creative slogan, and I want to see and amplify as many of those personal messages as possible. So I’m starting a competition.
